We have a novel about a boy wizard written by Time magazine's book critic, a book about how fucked we all are, and two more readings tonight.

Megan Prelinger reads at University Book Store tonight. Another Science Fiction: Advertising the Space Race 1957 — 1962 is a pretty goddamned hypnotic book about how the advertising industry sold rocketry and space travel to engineers and the government.

And at Town Hall, Peter Gleick reads. He is the author of Bottled and Sold: The Story Behind Our Obsession with Bottled Water. If you've always had the nagging sensation that bottled water is a dumb idea, you should probably attend this reading.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
