G. Willow Wilson reads at Elliott Bay Book Company tonight. The Butterfly Mosque: A Young American Woman's Journey into Love and Islam is about how the local author became a practicing Muslim.
And at the Hugo House, it's "Grandma ZAPP's Rolling Thunderheart Mountain Variety Show (and Bake Sale) Featuring Jim Woodring, Megan Kelso, and Special Guests." This is a fundraiser for Hugo House's awesome zine library featuring two awesome local cartoonists I wrote about a couple of weeks ago. There will also be music. And presumably cookies.
The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
