Cammie McGovern reads at Elliott Bay Book Company tonight. Neighborhood Watch is a thriller. With a name like that, I suppose, it would have to be.

University Book Store hosts Jacqueline Carey. Naamah's Curse is the follow-up to Carey's popular novel Naamah's Kiss. You will note that the curse always comes after the kiss, never before.

If you're a baseball fan, you should head up to Third Place Books. Steve Steinberg reads from 1921: The Yankees, the Giants, and the Battle for Baseball Supremacy in New York. I have nothing much to say about baseball, so I'll let the title speak for itself.

The reading of the night, then, will have to be at Town Hall tonight. Peter D. Ward reads from The Flooded Earth: Our Future in a World Without Ice Caps. This sounds like a real "Debbie Downer" of a book, but you should suck it up and take in some science.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
