We have a poet reading at Pilot Books tonight, a book about global conservation at Town Hall, and a book about a woman seeking consolation in Kool-Aid vodka cocktails who decides to order a puppy from the internet.

Support The Stranger

And Vanessa Woods reads at University Book Store tonight. The title of her book, Bonobo Handshake: A Memoir of Love and Adventure in the Congo sounds dirty, and that's because it is dirty; it's about how bonobos will have sex as soon as they'll shake hands with one another. Dirty! Any monkey sex books automatically win the title of reading of the night, as far as I'm concerned.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
