The man was selling roses on the corner of 1st Avenue and Yesler Way at approximately 10:30 p.m. when he was approached by two men looking to buy some flowers. After chatting for a bit, the men left without buying any roses, only to return a minute later.

This time, instead of buying roses, both suspects allegedly "sprayed him in the face with pepper spray," according to the report. "The victim was in a nearly hysterical state resulting from the pain," the report adds, which allowed the suspects to allegedly steal $65 from the victim's jacket pocket and flee.

The report states that the victim was unable to give an accurate description of his attackers because he was in too much pain. After speaking with police, he gave up selling on roses—no one wants pepper-scented roses, even at a discount—and took a bus home to decontaminate his face and clothing.
