Late last Saturday night, a man selling roses on the street in Pioneer Square was attacked and robbed of his night's earnings, according to the filed police report.
This time, instead of buying roses, both suspects allegedly "sprayed him in the face with pepper spray," according to the report. "The victim was in a nearly hysterical state resulting from the pain," the report adds, which allowed the suspects to allegedly steal $65 from the victim's jacket pocket and flee.
The report states that the victim was unable to give an accurate description of his attackers because he was in too much pain. After speaking with police, he gave up selling on roses—no one wants pepper-scented roses, even at a discount—and took a bus home to decontaminate his face and clothing.
