Reading Tonight: A Floating Bridge You Can Trust
Two readings tonight. At Elliott Bay Book Company, Carolyn Parkhurst reads from her new novel,
The Nobodies Album, which is a book about a bestselling novelist who has just written a book that rewrites all her other books, right at the same time that her rock star son has been arrested for murder. Parkhurst wrote
the creepy-great novel The Dogs of Babel, which instantly makes this book more appealing to me.
And at Jack Straw Productions, there's a launch party for the new issue of Floating Bridge Review. Twenty poets, including Sharon Cumberland, Dennis Caswell. and more than 17 others, will read. Both of these readings look good to me.
The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
