Today the Stranger Election Control Board met with the candidates running to represent the 36th District (Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard). In that picture, on the left is Republican challenger Jill England and beside her is Democratic incumbent Mary Lou Dickerson, who's represented the district since the early part of the 17th century. Who tried tried to "bribe" us with six bottles of booze, two flats of cookies, one tray of fruit, and a massive platter of meat, cheese, and crackers? And then who said these quotes?

Bill Gates Sr is behind this thing. If I'm not mistaken, he's an accountant. Now I'm not saying he's trying to make more business for himself, but with this income tax thing, all we'll be doing is forcing people to take their taxes to accountants. He'll be making big business for them.

I'm for legalizing marijuana. I grew marijuana plants in my backyard. It just grows like a weed. Washington has a good climate for that weed. I think there should be no taxes on marijuana. They should be legal so people can give it away to people if they want to. But it is a dangerous drug. It is like an abortion. If somebody wants one, you can't tell somebody they can't have an abortion. Some dope heads smoke too much grass. It fries your brain cells. I haven't smoked grass in years. I'm a pilot. Destroying brain cells and flying a plane are not compatible.
