I do know all about this problem:

_UNSET_-1.jpg
It also exists in Shona, a language spoken in Southern Africa. It too has a problem with the letter L. The English sound of it does not exist in the language. A heavy Shona speaker automatically replaces the sound of the L with the sound of the English R. So, for example, "Charles" is pronounced "Charres." Q is another nonexistent letter in that language which lives in Southern Africa but has for so long been a cemetery in my head.
