We have a bunch of readings tonight, including an allegedly "All-True" look at spirituality, a book about how sports can save inner city youth, a fantasy novel, and two more authors I will tell you about right now.

Don Winslow is doing the iron-man tour of Seattle reading venues today. He starts at Seattle Mystery Bookshop at noon, then he reads at Elliott Bay Book Company at 4 pm, and then he reads at Third Place Books at 7 tonight. His book Savages is a thriller about marijuana that has been well-reviewed by many, including Janet Maslin at the New York Times.

And at 7 pm tonight at Elliott Bay Book Company, Julia Whitty reads from Deep Blue Home: An Intimate Ecology of Our Wild Ocean. This is a book that was written before the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, but I bet that many of the questions will be oil-related.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
