Last Chance to Publicly Complain About Police Chief John Diaz

Love him or loathe him, the last public hearing on whether or not to confirm John Diaz as Police Chief will be held tonight at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Just to recap, black leaders loathe him, Latinos love him, and I want to make friends with his mustache. If you've got an opinion on our all-but-confirmed police chief, come state your case tonight.

The full city council is tentatively set to vote on whether or not to keep Diaz as acting police chief on Monday, August 9. In the unlikely event that the city council doesn't confirm him, the mayor would be forced to make another appointment.
