PUYALLUP, Wash. — A 16-year-old boy was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Sunday night at the rail station in Puyallup (pew-AL'-up).

Police Lt. Scott Engle told KIRO-TV the teen had been standing with a friend past a yellow warning line on the platform. As the train approached the friend stepped back but the 16-year-old Puyallup boy was struck in the head and died at the scene.

KIRO-TV reports the boys may have been playing a game of chicken

And just like that—all of it is over.
