From a press release:

Dear Charles,

Local primatologist Debra Durham, Ph.D., is available for interviews to discuss a bold step Sen. Maria Cantwell is taking to protect chimpanzees. On Aug. 3, Sen. Cantwell introduced the Great Ape Protection Act, S. 3694, a bipartisan bill that would end invasive experiments on chimpanzees and retire federally owned chimpanzees to permanent sanctuaries.

“In my home State of Washington, I am proud that we have Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest… [which] provides sustainable sanctuary for seven chimpanzees retired in 2008 from decades in research facilities,” said Sen. Cantwell in her statement before the Senate. “Government needs to take action to make invasive research on chimpanzees illegal. That is why today I am introducing the Bipartisan Great Ape Protection
This piece of news does not much excite me because I really hate chimpanzees, the shame of the African great apes. Humans? We know all about humans. Gorillas? Peaceful giants, honorable vegetarians. Bonobos? The sexy, sexy ape. Chimps? What is bad in humans finds its purity in this creature. It's also displeasing to think that one of those little beasts has the strength of four humans.
