When Vito's reopens on First Hill sometime quite soonish—"late summer" or, way more likely, early fall—the chef will be Michael Bruno, fresh from executive chef-ing at longtime Capitol Hill favorite Tango. The Philadelphia native will be taking on the task of "returning Vito's into a destination for outstanding East Coast Italian food," which will be a return to a LONG time ago. But with Bruno's track record (which also includes Il Terrazzo Carmine), it ought to be outstanding indeed.
