Two dozen people are gathered in a banquet room at China Harbor on the shores of Lake Union for the election night swan song—and dime social—for Tea Party muse (and no-hoper in the polls) Clint Didier. The group is old. There's Jeopardy playing on the teevee and it's on mute. Six ladies born in the Ming Dynasty are talking:

"How are you guys feeling about it?"

"Pretty good."

"I'm feeling pretty good, too."

"You know, if you listen to the prognosticators, we don't exist."

Then the SECB went on too eat some barbecue pork being passed around by the staff. We're eating Patty Murray! And we don't exist!
