If progressives knew that Stan Rumbaugh was going to have a hard time beating WA Supreme Court Justice/Bigot/Tool Jim Johnson in the primary—because voter turnout would be low and old—and they knew Rumbaugh would have an easier time in the general election—because voter turnout would be high and young—and they knew that Rumbaugh wouldn't be going on to the general election because there were only two names on the primary ballot—Rumbaugh's and Johnson's—which meant that the race would be decided in the primary, with its known low-and-old problem, why didn't progressives run two candidates against Johnson? Rumbaugh for realz and a fall guy for lolz? Then Rumbaugh would've faced Johnson in the higher-and-younger general election, giving him more time to raise money, make his case, and reach out to those higher and younger voters?

Or am I missing something here?
