In Cienna's post about the Nightlife Throwdown next week:

If we could get tuk tuks I swear I'd take one every day the two blocks between home and office just for the fun.

What's a tuk tuk, you ask? They're the middle-price tier of Thai taxis. On the highest order are cabs with air conditioning adjusted somewhere between polar and zero Kelvin, the lowest order are tiny motorcycles that travel the wrong way in bus lanes at approximately 800 miles an hour while you cling to a driver and discover religion, and in between—the one that's just right—is the esteemed tuk tuk:

These three wheeled little guys (some are just motorcycles with a carriage on the back) are moderately quick, nimble on tight turns, and small enough to weave through traffic while maintaining the visibility of a respectable vehicle. No doubt, zipping humans about the city in what is, essentially, a motorized shopping cart violates dozens of U.S. regulations on road safety. But Gloomy Gus is right, they'd be awesome in Seattle.
