From the Seattle Times:

A West Seattle man known for his gardening and eclectic taste in music — at least until last week when he allegedly threatened suicide and then shot at police officers before being shot in return — has been charged with three counts of assault.

Thomas Qualls, 59, has been charged with three counts of second-degree assault for allegedly firing an assault rifle at three Seattle police officers Sept. 3.
