There's going to be a full smorgasbord (who stole my umlauts?!) of local political issues covered tonight in North Seattle as Mayor Mike McGinn ventures to Lake City for the second stop in his town hall caravan. Set your teleporters for St. Matthew Parish Hall, 1240 NE 127th Street. The fun times, starting with an open house, run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and are free.

The event will mix in elements of the regularly scheduled North District Council meeting. First on the agenda at 6 p.m. is the half-hour open house with plenty of city staffers on hand to field questions, including Peter Hahn, Director of the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT). Hahn was the original headliner for the council meeting and was/is coming to discuss the controversial "road diet" for NE 125th Street (covered top to bottom here).

The actual town hall kicks off at 6:30. Mayor Mike McGinn will be there, along with representatives from the Department of Neighborhoods, SDOT, and Community Police Team Officer Dianne Newsom, ready to tackle any and all of your neighborhood, crime, and inexhaustible road diet questions.

If McGinn didn't get to your question during his visit to Questionland yesterday, consider this your second chance.
