Here's a photo Dan sent from Baltimore earlier today:
Why is it that Baltimore is throwing their fifteenth annual book festival, and Seattle can't seem to get one together? Our history with Bookfests is appalling. Nobody else in America loves books the way we love books. Seattle really ought to have a book festival that shows off our commitment to the printed word.
(And while we're salivating over elements of Baltimore's book culture, let's take a moment to wonder at The Book Thing of Baltimore, in which they give away a ton of books for free. Droooooooool.)
