You won't hear anyone uttering the headline of this post—or anything like it—in the new television commercial below for Referendum 52. The measure would fund school renovations and leverage more money for energy efficiency. But weirdly, the ad doesn't explain how much money is involved or where that money comes from. Over here, in the bowels of the internet, you can see that R-52 allows the state to borrow $505 million by issuing bonds and the money would come from extending a sales tax on bottled water currently set to expire in 2013.
