Anybody see that business at On the Boards last night? I imagine some of you might have hated it—it was just as secular-ritual-weirdness as expected, long stretches of silence and long stretches of loud static, and the choreography was extremely tight, specific abstraction—but I could find nobody at the theater last night who was full of hate.

And Rizzo wasn't fooling when he said his dancer Julie Guibert has "an intelligence of the body... she was walking, she was sitting, she always had the right movement at the right place and the right energy."

No kidding. The woman could—and did—hold the room rapt by simply pointing here or there. She said more with her shoulders than you'll find in most novels.
