Remember the first-hand account we received about a man who attacked a woman walking home in Ballard, dragged her into someone's yard, threatened her, and forced her to fondle him? The attacker who said he wasn't going to rape his victim because he didn't have a condom? That victim managed to escape when a witness interrupted the assault. Her attacker fled.

Now, a man has been charged for that attempted rape and another attack:

A man charged last week in connection with the rape of a woman in Covington on Sept. 30 was charged Tuesday in the attack on a Ballard woman eight days earlier.

Phillip Baldwin, 20, of Black Diamond, was charged with second-degree rape and attempted second-degree rape in connection with the assault of a woman as she walked in the 1100 block of Northwest 57th Street shortly after 9 p.m. on Sept. 22.

...King County prosecutors say Baldwin is the lead suspect in a third sexual attack, which occurred July 28 outside the L.A. Fitness club in Covington.
