According to a new Pew Survey, 85% of all Americans now own a cell phone. Only three-quarters of Americans own computers, half of all Americans own an mp3 player, and if you total tablets and e-readers as a single category (and assuming no overlap, which isn't very realistic), less than 10% of all Americans own a Kindle- or iPad-like device. I'd be interested to see what that last number looks like after Christmas, because it seems as though Apple is getting ready for a huge Christmas iPad push.

In the meantime, e-book sales continue to rise at supersonic levels.
