Earlier today, Cracked.com ran a list of "The 7 Most Unintentionally Creepy Places on the Internet." Number 5 on the list was The Bloody Boards, a message board for fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in general, and the character Spike (played by James Marsters) in particular. The creepy part of it was that almost all of the boards were made up of one person, who posted as Jamie Marsters.

In six years, Jamie Marsters made almost 40,000 posts on the Bloody Boards as the sole inhabitant, diligently replying to her own posts, starting new threads, and generally creating a one-woman internet community.

That all changed today, when Cracked.com fans (and 4chan users) got a hold of the Bloody Boards, flooding it with comments deriding Jamie Marsters for having no life.

omg jamie. jamie everywhere. talking to herself. everywhere. omg

am I the only one seeing jamie sockpuppets everywhere posting to herself over and over? wait, everyone else here is jamieOMGOMGOMGOMG

There's also the usual goatse-style porn and racism, along with a couple of apologies to Jamie Marsters for the intrusion. I hope Jamie Marsters is doing okay, wherever she is.

(Thanks, Slog tipper Rich, for ruining my day.)
