All day today, ZomBcon, which their Twitter page refers to as "The world's first dedicated zombie culture convention in the world," runs all over town. There are way too many events at ZomBcon to list here. Many of the events are free, but some of them cost money. Many are readings. It is at the Seattle Center and then all around downtown. Third Place Books hosts Madhur Jaffrey. At Home with Madhur Jaffrey is the newest cookbook by the beloved author. There will be samples served.

Joshua Wilkinson and Mathias Svalina will read at Pilot Books tonight. The author of Selenology, who also edits Poets on Teaching: A Sourcebook will be joined by the author of Destruction Myth and Creation Myths. Press release says: "The two will be joined by Sloan on the banjo." That's how you sell a motherfucking reading, people.

Town Hall is hosting something that is not strictly literary, but I thought I'd add it anyway because it sounds like fun. Seattle Radio Theatre is mounting Mercury Theatre’s Dracula tonight. This is not a reading of Bram Stoker's Dracula, but rather a restaging of Orson Welles's Mercury Theatre's radio production of Dracula.

Wayward Coffee House in Greenwood hosts authors Jenna M. Pitman and Michael Montoure tonight. This is Wayward Coffeehouse's "annual Halloween horror reading." What's Halloween without a few scary stories, I ask you?
