The SECB is eating pig parts at the Prop 1 election party at Nabob. King County Executive Dow Constantine is on a table saying good things about Prop 1, which would raise the county sales tax by 0.2 percent to save public safety services.

"Prop 1 has not had a lot of campaign money," Constantine told the SECB, looking very dapper in a navy blue suit and tie. "But I am hoping people care enough about public safety to vote for it. Before we make drastic cuts to our justice system I want to ask people if they want to fund these programs, even in these difficult times."

Next, King County Sheriff Sue Rahr, one of the three main people behind Prop 1, gets up on a table to say nice things about it. "I love The Stranger, they gave me my favorite endorsement- they said 'even though she's not a dyke vote for her,'" Rahr said, laughing.

Will Prop 1 win? "I am optimistic," Rahr says. Next up, King County prosecutor Dan Satterberg on the table.
