And hey! There's a new video up in the free space that SAM didn't tell anybody it was bringing in—it opened yesterday. It's Dutch photographer Rineke Dijkstra's 2009 portrait of a girl at the Tate Liverpool observing a Picasso in one of the museum's galleries, and Dijkstra obsessively painting the picture—but the actual Picasso is never shown. I hope SAM is at least allowing people to draw the Picassos in the galleries—here's what was going on last time I checked in on the museum's policy of hosting working artists in the building.
