Galleycat brings news of a Facebook group that is trying to "protest" tomorrow's publication of George W. Bush's memoir Decision Points by urging customers to move the book to their bookstore's crime section.
The blog hopes readers will move Decision Points inside the bookstore and âput Dubya where he belongs.â Waging Nonviolence scheduled the protest to coincide with the bookâs release tomorrow.Hereâs more from the post: âIf you do decide to participate in this nonviolent act of subversion, please respond to our invitation, take a picture of your âmission accomplished,â and post a photo of your handiwork to our Facebook page.â
Yeah, that'll show 'em. Way to do something useful, kids.
I've said this before, but it bears repeating if you're actually thinking of doing this: The only people this affects are the underpaid booksellers at your favorite bookstores, who will have to clean up after your annoying pseudo-political "protest" bullshit.
