There's a lot going on. Here's the noteworthy stuff:

Town Hall is hosting the first of two events called Bilocal. It's a cultural exchange with New Orleans. Tonight, Seattleites and New Orleanians including Coco Robicheaux, Ben Kasulke, Molly Wizenberg, Alex Kuo, and James Nolan will read, show films, and play music. Food will also be served. If I had to choose, I'd say tomorrow night's looks like the better show, but tonight's should be good, too.

Up at Third Place Books, we have a conversation about shelter cats. At Ravenna Third Place, we have an anarchist fairy tale from "a founding member of the anarchist punk rock band Chumbawamba."

Jack Nisbet reads at University Book Store. The Collector: David Douglas and the Natural History of the Northwest is a book about "the premier botanical explorer of the Pacific Northwest in the 19th century."

And at Pilot Books, it's time for "A Night Hosted by Les Figues Press." Authors from the small-but-awesome Los Angeles-based press, including Jennifer Calkins, Matthew Timmons, and Doug Nufer, will read. If you're not going to Bilocal, you should go to this.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
