Not so long ago, we were joined in Questionland by some expert booksellers from Third Place Books. They've done a bang-up job so far, and they'll continue to recommend books to you any time you leave a question on our Books page.

But we have three new experts I'm really excited about, and I want to introduce them to Slog. Three Seattle librarians are taking up residency in Questionland to help you find your next favorite book. David Wright's book knowledge puts me to shame; his answers are simultaneously thorough and wide-ranging. Hayden specializes in fiction for young readers, but she reads a little bit of everything, and she's more than happy to introduce you to an obscure historical romance author or two. And Abby Bass loves young adult fiction, comics, sci-fi, and the classics. But all three of these experts have proven to be more than willing to do the kind of intensive research you'd expect from librarians; just try to stump them.

Between the booksellers, the librarians, my recommendations, and the dozens of eager citizens of Questionland who contribute thoughtful recommendations every time someone needs help, I think we can safely call Questionland the best book recommendation engine on the internet. We want to help you find an author to fall in love with, and we're eager to assist you with your Christmas book-buying needs. Tell us what you like—and don't like—to read on the Books page of Questionland. You won't be disappointed.
