TONIGHT

Wendell Potter, the grizzled and soft-spoken former health insurance fat cat who made minor political tsunamis after turning coat and supporting the health reform movement, is speaking at Town Hall tonight to argue that the Obama healthcare “overhaul” will have an actual impact of something like nil. (1119 Eighth Avenue, Seneca Street entrance, 7:30 p.m. — 9 p.m., tickets $5 at the door)

THURSDAY

Hearing on Toxic Toys. Somehow, toymakers aren’t already compelled to disclose whether they use cancer-causing ingredients. At a public hearing organized by the Washington Toxics Coalition, you can make the audacious case that parents should feel entirely confident that it’s a safer bet, long-run, to let their children play with toys rather than, say, scissors. Only problem is, this event is in Lacey, WA. If you don't think it's worth the journey, here you will see why you should very much try to go. (Department of Ecology, Lacey Headquarters Auditorium, 300 Desmond Drive, Lacey, 7 p.m., free)

FRIDAY

Arrested Development trivia! If you’re not already a fan (of the show, not the band) then, quite objectively, you haven’t lived yet. But you can still get a Netflix account and spend the next two days live-streaming all three seasons of the show. (Neptune Coffee, 8415 Greenwood Ave N, 8 p.m., free)
