- "No Teddy for you!"
Edmund Morris, the author of Colonel Roosevelt, was scheduled to be reading at the library tonight. He is no longer reading at the library tonight. He will probably reschedule the reading for sometime in January.
However, the library added an event at the last minute, too. Tonight, they're hosting a "Rapid Response" discussion about WikiLeaks, starting at 5 pm in the Microsoft Auditorium of the Central Branch of the Library. Editors from the Seattle Times and Yes! Magazine and the UW's Master of Communication in Digital Media will be in attendance. You can read all about it here.
And while I have your ear, don't forget about the 4th Anniversary of the Fantagraphics Bookstore in Georgetown tomorrow night. You'll find original work by Peter Bagge, Kim Deitch, Megan Kelso, Zak Sally, Dash Shaw, and Stranger Genius of Literature 2010 Jim Woodring, among others, and there's a huge sale, too. It should be a lot of fun.
