Currently Hanging: 'Vs. the Matador'

- Nicholas Nyland's little stanchions sculpture: The perfect gift. It says, "There is an in and there is an out!"
When
Vs. the Matador opened at SOIL, I was handcuffed. It seemed I had gone the wrong way down the orange line painted, in impossible-to-follow swirls, down the floor. This line was painted by Picasso himself. In this parody version of SAM's Picasso show, that is.
No parody has ever been so useful to a holiday shopper. Vs. the Matador is full of gift shops, which are full of gifts made by local artists. Including Nicholas Nyland's colorful little tyrannical stanchions. (Love!)
And now, tonight from 5:30 to 7:30, SOIL is going to recreate opening night again. You, too, can be arrested for blockbuster violations. Of COURSE a faux-blockbuster needs two openings! Do it.
