Forty percent of homeless teenagers are LGBT kids who were thrown out of their homes after they came out or were outed to their families. New York City's Ali Forney Center, which provides housing and services to homeless LGBT youth, has seen its funding slashed and is in danger of closing. Celebs and artists are rallying to raise awareness and funds:

The Ali Forney is a long way away, I realize, way over there at the other end of the country. But the kids in the GSAs in Liberty, Missouri, high schools, were a long way away too and we helped them out. And supporting Ali Forney may be less of a reach than we think: a lot of homeless LGBT kids take off for New York City—even kids from around here—and the Ali Forney Center has been there for them. Let's help keep the doors open. Donate here.
