Wow. Even just the sound on this recent a New York gallery show performance is disturbingly bodily (for me, in a good way, since it makes me squirm with recognition and disgust and wonder all at the same time). The artist is Oliver Herring, who orchestrated the daylong event Task at Seattle Public Library in 2008 (my review). In 2005, he showed his photo sculptures at the Frye.
