I love to learn new things all of the time. But not all of the new things I learn bring me joy. An example: Today I learned some thing that brought me sadness; I learned that these creatures...penguins, despite looking the same, have more genetic diversity than humans, the masters of difference (at the level of appearance). Genetic differences between humans is one base pair out of every 1000—for penguins, it's two. However, the penguins, the masters of sameness (at the level of appearance) are not alone. Chimps, gorillas, and even fruit flies also have more genetic diversity than humans.
