Oh, 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea Inspired by Starbucks, we hardly knew ye. First you were a Starbucks. Then, with all kinds of accompanying controversy, you were a fake indie-styled cafe still owned by Starbucks. Now, as of this past Monday, you are a Starbucks again.

Reached by phone, Jay at the again-Starbucks on 15th said they'll still have the small plates, beer and wine, and music on weekends that distinguished the Inspired-by-Starbucks from the regular-Starbucks Starbucks. Regarding the change, he said, "I think it's good. When we made the switch, a lot of people were kind of wary about what we were... it makes it more obvious that we are affiliated with Starbucks." This is, per Jay, "the best of both worlds."

An employee at the remaining fake indie-styled Starbucks cafe, Roy Street Coffee & Tea Inspired by Starbucks, said that Starbucks is not reverting to Starbucks-Starbucks status in "the forseeable future."

Starbucks corporate has yet to return a call regarding this whole ill-fated branding endeavor.
