I'm happy with the choice of Andrew Garfield to play Spider-Man. I think he'll do a great job (if his silver-slippered costume doesn't get in the way of his acting.) But this little comedy bit by Donald Glover about the "draft-Donald-Glover-for-Spider-Man" campaign from last year really has me wishing the filmmakers had taken a chance on him.

I mean, seriously: If Stan Lee and Steve Ditko were coming up with Spider-Man today—a poor kid from Queens, parents out of the picture, being raised by an elderly aunt—they'd probably have made him black.
