Dinosaur Nerds! There are two upcoming dinosaur events at the Burke!

First, as I mentioned earlier, on February 25, the museum brings Dr. Philip Currie, a professor and Canada Research Chair in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta for a lecture. More information and registration for the free event here.

And for the little dino-nerds in your life, Saturday, March 5th is Dinosaur Day at the Burke!

Dino Day activities will include:
· Dig for an ichthyosaur fossil in a brand new fossil dig pit for kids
· Crack open rocks with the Stonerose Interpretive Center and find a fossil to take home!
· Draw or color dinosaurs with professional scientific illustrators
· Take a trip around the world with a special Burke passport and see dozens of fossils from the museum’s paleontology collection — including recent discoveries from expeditions to Antarctica, Zambia, Montana, and more!
· Play in a special dinosaur dress-up area for kids
