And in other 2012 news, Politico says that likely candidate Haley Barbour is under pressure from the NAACP to not allow a "commemorative license plate for Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, who later went on to lead the KKK." This is a tough spot for a Republican candidate to be in: On the one hand, in the general election, it will be hard to earn moderates if you're seen as being pro-KKK. On the other hand, it's hard to win the Republican primaries without the white supremacist vote on your side.
