Fremont Universe has the scoop: Fremont Place Books will be closing. Their last day of business is February 27th. This is a shame. Fremont Place was a clean, cozy, well-stocked little bookstore.

But in other Fremont book news, the current owner of Ophelia Books, who I told you in December was putting the book up for sale, told Fremont Universe that Ophelia "will be changing hands in March. I’ve found a wonderful buyer with tons of enthusiasm, for both books and cats." Fremont remains a great bookish destination.
