Rumor has it that King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg will hold a press conference tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. where he'll announce whether or not the county will press criminal charges against Birk for killing John T. Williams last August. (Dan Donohoe, a spokesman for Satterberg, hasn't yet returned my call for confirmation.)

My educated guess is Satterberg will announce that he's not seeking charges. In which case, expect a frothy shit storm of outrage and all eyes to swing toward Police Chief John Diaz, who will ultimately be responsible for disciplining Birk.
