I'm no mathologist, but the premise here seems faulty—clearly more people all over the place are going to be Googling Applebee's when compared to all the good Valentines everywhere looking for their local La Bete or Machiavelli or Le Pichet. Actually, Valentine's Day is best at home, for a number of reasons. But, still, gah!
I am also reminded of when I went to Benihana—culinarily a travesty, but sociologically almost worth the money. (And by that I mean The Stranger's money. And it was not Valentine's Day.)
