According to the latest Census data, Seattle's population grew by eight percent over the last decade (up to 608,660 residents), which is slower than Bellevue's growth of 11.7 percent. That suburban anchor's growth is roughly on par with King County overall, which fattened up with 11.2 percent more people over the last 10 years, outpacing Seattle. Among all the counties in Washington State, only Garfield and Pacific Counties shrank:
