The thing is, Anthony: Unless you're a gamer, I don't think there's anything crazy-exciting enough to recommend upgrading from an iPad 1 to an iPad 2. You probably already have a laptop with a camera in it for video chat, after all, and while the A5 is presumably blazing-fast, you're still looking at the same 1024 x 768 display. Further, the fucking iPad 3 rumor mill is still kicking up dirt by suggesting a late-2011 launch.

A good rule of thumb with Apple products is to pay attention to every other generation. With iPads, I think we'll see major updates on the odd generations. And frankly, I think the most compelling product to come out of today's iPad 2 launch is the $100 price cut on first-gen iPads, and the refurbished first-gen iPads for $350.
