Speaking to reporters in Olympia yesterday before the house passed the medical marijuana bill, Governor Christine Gregoire said she's not completely sold on the bill's readiness to be signed into law.

"It's changed dramatically from where it was in the senate," Gregoire said. "I have concerns. I've been researching the law, and a supreme court case out of Oregon. I saw last week what the U.S. Attorney did by way of enforcement in Eastern Washington. So, I'm not done. We're going to meet this afternoon and talk about it in more depth. But at this point I have concerns about it."

I've asked the governor's office for some elaboration. (Which case out of Oregon? What dramatic changes in the house version concern her? Etc.) Will update when I hear back.
