Seattle’s art community is coming together to put on a fundraiser this Sunday to support local artist and Ghost Gallery curator Cait Willis and art conservator Amber Anderson, both of whom sustained serious injuries when they were struck by an uninsured drunk driver last month.

Both have insanely high medical bills, and more than 50 artists have donated work to be auctioned to help pay for their medical and legal expenses. Other auction items include two tickets to one of Degenerate Art Ensemble’s sold-out performances of The Red Shoes—a bona fide wild ride—and a signed copy of Stranger Genius Jim Woodring’s new book, Congress of the Animals.

It's a free event, hosted by comedian Emmett Montgomery, and it's happening at Vermillion, with a performance by Woodring and sets from DJs Barbarella and Potatoes O’Brien, and Solomon Georgio (who is a very funny man). There will also be drink specials. All proceeds will go to Amber and Cait, with hopes for a speedy recovery.

Check out the event website for more information, including a full list of participating artists.
