On Countdown last night, 84-year-old Dorli Rainey told Keith Olbermann her story about getting pepper sprayed by the Seattle Police, but that's only the half of it. You've got to watch Rainey, who grew up in Austria before and during World War II, compare our current media to that of the Nazi propagandists. "I remember Goebbels," Rainey tells Olbermann. "I remember the shrinking of the print media... and I see the same thing happening here." And she somehow manages to make this comparison without going all Godwin on it.

So thank you, SPD, for turning Rainey into a national media star.
