Rand Paul ran into some trouble with the TSA this morning after he set off a full body scanner. His dad Ron Paul announced that Rand was "detained" but the TSA disagrees:

Paul reportedly raised his right pant leg, which may have set off the scanner. Paul, according to aides, said it was “clearly a glitch” and asked to proceed through the machine a second time. The TSA demanded a full-body pat-down, which Paul refused.

NBC News' Tom Costello reports that, according to sources at the TSA, Paul was not detained, but was escorted by police out of the checkpoint.

Based on the contents of Ron Paul's newsletters, I wonder if Ron Paul now suspects that the government has swapped his son out with an identical clone programmed to steal Ron Paul's liberties. This will make a great movie one day.
