The sad news: On Friday the NHL announced they've cancelled the All-Star game as well as all games through December 14th. A total of 422 regular season games have now been called off. We will never have them back. EVER.

The happy news: Dozens of NHL players—Scott Hartnell, Martin Brodeur, Dan Girardi, Brad Richards, Henrik Lundqvist, Bobby Ryan, and more—got together for a Hurricane Sandy charity game on Saturday. The final score was 10-6 (the winning team was led by Richards), and Lundqvist stopped 56 shots.
